Jurassic World: Rebirth is projected to be the biggest summer blockbuster of 2025. This flick stars the iconic Scarlett Johansson in the lead role. Alongside her are Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, and Mahershala Ali. Scar-Jo is a covert operations expert alongside a team of researchers seeking DNA from dinosaur eggs and some prehistoric beasts to boot.

Jurassic World: Rebirth is the seventh installment in this iconic series of films. It explodes onto the big screen on Wednesday, July 2, 2025. In this action-packed film, Johansson displays her fighting prowess in a way few filmgoers have ever seen. This movie is the latest standalone sequel, following the 2022 film Jurassic World: Dominion.

While the majority of the films have failed to inspire positive critical reviews on Rotten Tomatoes, they remain crowd favorites with massive box office takings. From its inception in 1993 with the original Jurassic Park, this decades-old franchise is going stronger than ever. Take a look at the box office totals for the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World series of films:

  • Jurassic Park (1993) - $1,104,379,296 worldwide

  • The Lost World: Jurassic Park (1997) - $618,638,999 worldwide

  • Jurassic Park III (2001) - $368,780,809 worldwide

  • Jurassic World (2015) - $1,671,537,444 worldwide

  • Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom (2018) - $1,310,469,037 worldwide

  • Jurassic World: Dominion (2022) - $1,001,978,080 worldwide

  • Jurassic World: Rebirth (2025) - ???

Interestingly, critics’ opinions don’t always dovetail with box office takings. Consider the following ratings on IMDb and Fresh Tomatoes for each of the six Jurassic Park and Jurassic World films to date:

There’s something unique about Jurassic World: Rebirth that has moviegoers excited, and it’s this: this film gets back to the roots of the Jurassic Park concept – fear, terror, and mayhem. Anyone who remembers the original Jurassic Park, released in 1993 by Steven Spielberg and Michael Crichton, recalls the gut-wrenching terror when the T-Rex smashed through the electrified fencing at Jurassic Park. The footprints on the Earth and the muddied water that vibrated and rippled with each footfall lived on in infamy in movie history.

The silence, followed by the deafening ferocity of the T-Rex, was jarring and terrifying. Jurassic World Rebirth plunges audiences back into the dread and chaos of a world where flesh-eating dinosaurs run amok. It’s pure carnage, and that’s what the producers of Jurassic World: Rebirth were aiming for. Judging by early previews, this adrenaline-loaded film is as scary as hell.

That same thrill-seeking spirit has found a surprising parallel in the online world, especially among fans of cinematic-themed entertainment. One such example is Hello Millions, a social casino platform that evokes the suspense and excitement of blockbusters like Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom. While there are no dinosaurs involved, the rush of spinning reels, unlocking rewards, and racing the clock delivers its brand of intensity.

For players who enjoy immersive gameplay without the risk of massive spins and gigantic wins, this site offers a pulse-pounding escape that’s pure fun. Many of the platform’s users are the same fans flocking to high-stakes action films. It’s all about entertainment, and this platform is a rising star in that domain.

This film is bigger, meaner, and more terrifying than any of its predecessors. It’s time to get locked and loaded for a fright fest and survival quest rolled up into one!

What Are the Critics Likely to Say?

It’s always like rolling the dice when awaiting critics’ reviews of an anticipated blockbuster. You never know what you’re going to get because critics often approach high-budget blockbusters with a discerning eye, spotlighting both standout elements and recurring flaws.

Of course, they can appreciate well-made motion pictures, but there is a split opinion on this film. On the one hand, there are the naysayers who believe that audience fatigue with the Jurassic Park and Jurassic World series is high, and there is little appetite for a seventh film after Jurassic World: Dominion.

But on the plus side, there is a whole new spin on proceedings with this film. For example, it doesn’t rely on any of the familiar faces or characters from previous films. It’s bold, refreshing, and entirely rejuvenated with a stellar cast spearheaded by Scarlett Johansson. The film also brings back familiar talent in the form of Gareth Edwards and David Koepp and executive producer Steven Spielberg.

Those names could be considered the Trump Cards in this new release. But there’s a more crucial golden nugget that this film has under wraps – it has reintroduced the primal fear of ferocious dinosaurs into the Jurassic World series of films. This horror-action movie taps into our fears and survival instincts in unfamiliar and dangerous worlds.

The film critics will definitely be looking at that angle when presenting audiences with their reviews. Whether they hail it or hammer it, Jurassic World: Rebirth has already unleashed its fury. Audiences, not algorithms, will be the real judges of this flick.
