Raised in Sète, a small port town in southern France, Simo was the first in her family to graduate from high school. She earned a master's degree in management from HEC Paris and began her career at eBay as a strategy manager. Her significant impact came during her decade-long tenure at Facebook (now Meta), where she played a pivotal role in developing and monetizing the Facebook app, including leading initiatives for News Feed ads, Facebook Live, and Facebook Watch.
Driving Growth at Instacart
In 2021, Simo joined Instacart's board and soon became its CEO. Under her leadership, the company experienced substantial growth, culminating in a successful IPO in 2023. She also spearheaded the expansion of Instacart's advertising business, significantly boosting its revenue streams.
