K-Electric Limited has named Syed Taha as Chief Executive Officer to succeed Adeeb Ahmad who had been serving as interim CEO. The change will occur on April 15, 2026, the company said in a notice sent to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
The decision has been approved by the Board of Directors and reported to the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan. Prior to the appointment of a new CEO, Adeeb Ahmad was serving as acting chief executive.
Syed Taha currently appointed as the Managing Director and CEO of Pakistan State Oil Company Limited since 2020 He has had more than three decades working in the energy sector with experience both locally and internationally.
At Oasis Energy, where he served as Executive Director earlier in his career, Dave oversaw projects associated with Nigeria's Port Harcourt Electricity Distribution Company. He also served as Chief Distribution Officer at K-Electric and has held senior positions in other organizations.
He has a degree in engineering and an M.B.A. in Finance from the Institute of Business Administration, Karachi.
As the company gears up for the next phase of operations with a focus on leadership and innovation, K-Electric will have new leadership from mid-April with this transition.
