Who Is Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang?

The most ambitious technical goal of Dr. Fang is the photonic quantum computing chip development, in his prediction, chips that he believes will totally take over conventional electronic semiconductors.

The issue with chips today is the physics: electrons being magnetic and quantum tunnelling are both signal degrading influences on which force miniaturisation. Photons are free of these disadvantages.

Dr. Fang came up with his own answer to that, an optical channel system where light-blocking walls and photonic gates take place of traditional copper wiring in the chips. That allows chip processes to go as low as 2nm, and below 1nm, areas of semiconductor territory where tried-and-true electronics begin to run into difficulty.

He holds 26 patents for his multi-bit photonic computing chips. His chips with picoscale circuit patterns are patented in 12 countries.

LongServing expects to start mass production of 50,000 wafers per month by releasing a 2 nm photonic CPU chip in 2025. Performance predicts: over 1,000 times that of conventional chips, with photonic channels and gates pushing computational capacity to ten thousand times current levels. Dr. Fang views this launch as the tipping point of where photonics officially supplants electronics in the basis of our computing.

Lab-Grown Jadeite: Where Science Meets the Luxury Market

Interestingly, as Dr. Fang was continuing some of his semiconductor work, he also noticed a major unexplored commercial opportunity in the global market for gemstones.

The surge of synthetic diamond in to mass production, slashing natural diamond prices by 40%, has manufactured it more attractive for consumers, particularly within the East Asian markets, opting for jadeite. The supply of natural jadeite is gradually stringent, and the price gap is growing wider. LongServing is placed to fill that gap.

This was the brand LongServing where it produced the world's first synthetic jadeite in mass production, boasting of ever more even colouring than the imperial green stone. Both Western and Eastern design sensibilities, and the company is developing the corresponding retail infrastructure: flagship stores planned for Shanghai, Tokyo, and Paris; runway partnerships with top models; advertisement films already made in Japanese, Korean, Chinese, And English.

Indeed the global jadeite market is still in its infancy as a commercial entity, yet itsAnnual transaction volumes are greater than USD 31 billion per annum. LongServing says the next two to three years is a particularly good opportunity for growth.

Biotechnology: Fighting Cancer and Viral Disease

Dr. Fang's biotech work is focused on two very pressing battle fields: cancer and antiviral ammunition.

LongServing has performed lab tests on not one but many cancer cell types in the oncology space and is taking steps towards animal testing. Instead of traditional chemotherapies, systemic treatments that wreak havoc on the body, the company is creating a targeted puncture injection technique focused on destroying cancer cells directly. They have recently made breakthroughs where 99% of liver and lung cancer cells were removed after testing.

As for antivirals, Dr. Fang has coupled traditional Chinese medicine with Western herbal research to find treatments against complex mutating viruses. He perceives that global mortality from influenza and viral outbreaks is continually underestimated, and thus considers antiviral drug development to represent one of the most significant areas of medical research where LongServing hopes to make a concrete impact.

On the Path to a Wall Street Listing

Dr. Fang and LongServing have long hoped to go public on Wall Street. The company, which is opening itself to foreign investment and plans unlisted stocks by the end of the year, has a full Wall Street listing in its sights.

The launch of 2nm photonic cips and continuous enhancement of the jadeite business are both convergent upon its core timeline.

Dr. Fang's view of LongServing's competitive position is direct: every innovation is developed and manufactured entirely in-house, without reliance on third parties.
