TT Games, in collaboration with Warner Bros. Games, DC, and the LEGO Group, officially unveiled LEGO Batman: Legacy of the Dark Knight—a sprawling action-adventure game launching in 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC (via Steam and Epic Games Store).

A Gotham Without Limits

This isn't your typical LEGO experience. Legacy of the Dark Knight delivers an expansive, open-world Gotham, teeming with crime-fighting missions, side quests, collectibles, and more. Players can traverse the cityscape through gliding, grappling, hover-driving, and navigating via sleek Batmobiles and Batcycles—including designs inspired by Nolan's trilogy and Reeves' The Batman.

An Iconic Cast Brings Gotham to Life

The game features seven playable characters from the Bat-family roster: Batman, Jim Gordon, Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl, Catwoman, and Talia al Ghul. Each brings distinct weapons and abilities—from Batman’s Batclaw to Jim Gordon’s foam sprayer—offering varied gameplay strategies.

Players will confront Gotham’s legendary villains, including The Joker, Poison Ivy, Ra’s al Ghul, Penguin, and Bane, the latter voiced by Matt Berry, adding a rich layer to the rogues' gallery.

Combative Evolution

Combat has been reimagined, taking cues from the acclaimed Arkham series. Expect fluid combo sequences, counters, cinematic takedowns, and weapon-based attacks—all delivered with LEGO’s trademark humor and charm.

The experience also supports two-player local co-op, adding a cooperative dynamic to Gotham’s defense. Additionally, two new “cranked-up” difficulty settings—Caped Crusader and Dark Knight—are included for players seeking heightened challenges.

A Journey Through the Dark Knight’s Legacy

The narrative unfolds as a journey from Bruce Wayne’s early years—his League of Shadows training—to becoming the iconic guardian of Gotham. Champions of the franchise describe the game as a genuine "love letter to Batman," celebrating decades of lore across films, comics, television, and gameplay.

The Batcave serves as a customizable home base where players can display trophies, vehicles, and an expansive wardrobe of Batsuits representing eras across Batman’s history.
