Los Angeles — Brandon Blackstock, music manager and former husband of pop star Kelly Clarkson, has died at the age of 48 after a prolonged battle with cancer. His family confirmed the news on August 6, stating that he passed away peacefully, surrounded by loved ones.

A respected figure in the country and pop music scenes, Blackstock managed prominent artists over the years, including Clarkson, Blake Shelton, and Rascal Flatts. He was also the stepson of country music legend Reba McEntire and the son of Narvel Blackstock, a longtime Nashville music producer.
