Marketing is one of the most important investments a business can make, as it helps companies to connect with their customers and hopefully become more visible. When it comes to marketing, one thing to remember about people is that they don’t remember businesses as much as they remember brands.

For example, when you think of McDonald’s, you might have a mental image of the golden arches, or you might think of their slogan of “I’m lovin’ it!” The same applies to other brands; the ones that stand out are the ones that have a firm identity. So, how can you build a strong brand for your business and make it as visible as possible?

Creating a Strong Brand

As mentioned before, a brand is your business’s identity, so it needs to be a memorable one in the first place. When building a brand, you actually want to start with your target audience. Who are you trying to sell to, and what would appeal to them? You also need to think about what sets your brand apart from other similar companies.

Do you have a unique selling point? Can this be reflected in the brand?

You also need to think about your brand voice, values, and even color scheme, and the name of your company. All of this will build up a picture in your customers’ minds, just like the picture they might have of a person they know.

You also want to emphasize this by creating brand merchandise and products. This can be small, like branded custom stickers as rewards, or you can even start to produce branded clothing or other products in addition to your normal product line.

Social Media and Branding

Another good way to develop your brand voice and identity is to use social media liberally. Social media is a great way to communicate with your customers more directly. You can use it as a promotional tool to tell people about deals and discounts, or you can even use social media to survey customers and conduct market research.

But one of the best ways to use social media is to constantly develop your brand voice. Create memes, make jokes, make posts that are entertaining and, more importantly, that people want to see. This means more people will follow your account and become more familiar with your brand.

Branding at Events

Commercial events and expos are a fantastic way to expose your brand to more and more customers. But to get the most impact, you need to make sure that you use your branding effectively.

This includes investing in branded signage and banners that draw people’s attention to your stand and make your brand much easier to see. You should also make sure that your packaging is branded, both at the event and outside of it. Branded uniforms, even if your employees don’t wear uniforms at work, can also make them more visible and seem more united when at the event.
