Beyoncé has joined the billionaire ranks with a worth of $1 billion, making her the fifth musician to become one, according to Forbes. The 44-year-old Grammy winner now joins other music billionaires like her husband Jay-Z, and Taylor Swift, Rihanna and Bruce Springsteen, thanks to her significant recent successes.
It’s thanks to the record-shattering “Cowboy Carter” tour that brought in more than $400 million at the box office and an additional (approximately) $50 million in merchandise. Her most recent world tour in the Renaissance vein was as lucrative, banking more than $579 million worldwide.
Jay-Z first reached billionaire status in 2019, setting a template for Beyoncé’s feat. Although she’s diversified her income with products like the Cécred hair care line, SirDavis whiskey, and Ivy Park fashion line, The bulk of her fortune is still tied to her musical career, profits from an extensive catalog released by Sony Music along with performances across the world.
