Walmart heiress Alice Walton has been declared the richest woman in the United States for 2025, with her net worth estimated at $106 billion, according to the latest Forbes 400 report. At 75 years old, Walton is also ranked as the 15th wealthiest person in America and is now recognized as the first American female centibillionaire—a person whose fortune reaches or exceeds 100 billion dollars.

Her fortune has shown remarkable growth year over year. In 2024, her net worth was estimated at around $89.2 billion, meaning she saw an increase of nearly $17 billion over the past year. Much of this growth is attributed to a surge in the stock value of Walmart and related holdings.

Walton, the only daughter of Walmart founder Sam Walton, maintains ties to Fort Worth, Texas, although she now resides in Bentonville, Arkansas. Despite living elsewhere, her residence is still officially listed as Fort Worth in the Forbes listings.

Beyond her wealth, Walton is highly active in philanthropy. She has invested heavily in the Alice L. Walton School of Medicine in Bentonville, Arkansas, a project she has supported with over $250 million since 2023. The school welcomed its inaugural class of 48 four-year medical students this year, marking a critical milestone for her educational legacy.

Walton also devotes much of her time and resources to the arts. She is known for her involvement with the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and her foundations have supported numerous programs combining art and education. Her long-standing commitment to cultural and community initiatives remains a defining element of her public profile.

In ranking terms, Walton is now the third richest person in Texas, trailing only two other billionaires. Across the nation, she remains the most affluent woman, ahead of other prominent female billionaires including Julia Koch & family, Jacqueline Mars, Miriam Adelson & family, and Abigail Johnson.
